Creator onboarding
Before StrideHQ pays anyone, it needs to know who they are, how they should be taxed and where to send the money. Onboarding collects those details once, so every payment run only includes creators who are ready to be paid.
Adding creators
Under Onboarding, go to Creators and choose:
- Add creator to add one creator at a time
- Import from spreadsheet to bring in your existing creator list
A creator can be an individual, a talent agency or production company that bills for its talent, or a creator's own limited company.
What StrideHQ records
Adding a creator takes four steps:
- Basic information: their name and contact details.
- Business and compliance: company and VAT details where they have them, and their UK or EU tax status.
- Bank details: where to pay them, in their local currency.
- Review and submit.
These details stay on the creator's record, alongside their contracts, invoices and payment history, so finance can see them before anyone is paid. For what StrideHQ records for tax and reporting, see Compliance.
Ready to be paid
A creator is ready to be paid once StrideHQ has everything it needs, including checked bank details. Only creators who are ready are included in a payment run. Anyone who isn't is held back with the reason, so your team can see what's missing.
When something is missing
If a creator is missing something, such as a tax form or bank details, the StrideHQ Agent follows up with them until it's in, then marks them as ready to pay. Your team doesn't need to send chase emails.
