# Pagination, sorting and filtering

> Get lists of records a page at a time, in the order you want, with only the records you need.

Most responses that return a list of records are paginated. Pagination limits how many results come back in each request, so responses stay fast and you aren't sent more than you need.

You set pagination, sorting and filtering in query parameters. Separate them with `&`. The order of the parameters doesn't matter.

```bash
curl "https://api.sandbox.stridehq.ai/v1/invoices?status=approved&limit=100" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer shq_test_..."
```
