# Update a creator

> Updates the fields you send. Status can't be changed through the API, and email and payout currency can't be changed once the creator has added bank details.

## Responses

- **200**: The updated creator.
- **400**: `unknown_field` (including `status`), `invalid_parameter`, `bank_details_not_accepted`, `invalid_json` or `invalid_content_type`.
- **401**: `missing_api_key`, `invalid_api_key`, `revoked_api_key` or `wrong_environment`.
- **404**: `resource_not_found`: no such object in your organisation.
- **409**: `creator_email_exists` or `external_id_exists`; `creator_has_bank_details` (email and payout currency can't be changed once the creator has added bank details); or `idempotency_key_reused` or `idempotency_key_in_use`.
- **422**: `currency_not_supported` or `country_not_supported`.
